...Hello. This is a message I was inspired to write, having seen so many good English ones from Korea, and trying to write one myself by native English. Can it (or both) be used?
CROSS GOSPEL
Many people today are curious about Christianity-- and many others think they already know all about this and many other popular religions, too. However, let us all stop a moment and consider what holy writings were given to the ancient Hebrews by divine inspiration, to leave their Jewish traditions and follow Christ, the Messiah, two thousand years ago.
It is written in the scriptures, of Hebrews 6:1, telling everyone now, as it did then to them, that there are basic teachings fundamental to the faith; first of which is "repentance from dead works." [Two more teachings also are about death: Namely, baptisms, as we are "baptized for the hope of the dead" (ICor.15:29) and the principle of "resurrection of the dead," (Heb.6:2)]. Now, let us consider this death.
The cross of Christ , we know, was the wisdom of God to reverse the curse placed upon mankind for the disobediance of the first human beings, Adam and Eve. Christ was "the Great Unique" Son of God, the only one able to carry the sins of the whole world-- Asia, Africa, Europe, the Americas and Australia-- by Himself, suffering the punishment due to all of us. Not only the Jews, but all men, near and far, could thence inherit "the riches of the glory of this mystery... Christ in you, the hope of glory." [Col.1:27] God originally created us all through the spoken word of Christ Jesus. Mankind disobeyed His command and He therefore terminated us all again through the vicarious death of Christ Jesus. Now, since we are all dead, the works we do by ourselves are "dead works." The first basic teaching of Christ is that we repent from these things, abandon them, and follow Christ instead, by "Christ in you," for the good works God has already prepared for us to walk in. [Eph.2:10] Behold, "I am crucified with Christ (2000 year ago) and the life I now live... is the life of (the One) who loved me and gave Himself for me." [Gal.2:20]
So, "If One died for all then all were (killed) dead... He died for all (in order) that they who live should... live... unto Him who died for them and rose again." [2Cor.5:14-15] "For if we died with Him, we shall also live with Him. If we endure, we shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us. If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself." [2Tim.2:11-13] This is the Jesus who is worthy of more than mere curiosity, "Who bore our sins His own self in His own body on the tree ( where He hung nailed to a crossbeam) that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness-- by whose stripes (of suffering) you were healed." [IPet.2:24]
As Jesus Himself is quoted as saying, just at the moment He died, "It is finished." He finished us off when He died, taking us with Him to the grave in the year of our Lord, 0000, at the outset of the Eastern Han Dynasty. (That was approximately three years after China's capitol was moved from Chang'an to Luoyang-- a [the] most traumatic event in China's history-- and China moved her capitol east to Luoyang at precisely the same time Jesus began to preach the kingdom of God in the land of Israel). He went to the grave and He went to hell when He died-- for you and for me-- and three days later He returned from hell and rose to heaven, where He sits today, waiting for us. Are you ready? He is coming to get us when His chosen ones have dressed themselves in His righteousness. It is His righteousness, not ours.
Are you dressed or naked? Has He chosen you? If so, please dress well. This is for the wedding of God's Son. If not, you may ask Him to choose you now, while we are getting dressed.
"And God both raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ?" [ICor.6:14-15] "Or, do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection; knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin." [Rom.6:3-7]
"Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord." [Rom.6:8-11]
Moreover, "God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us
in Christ Jesus." [Eph.2:4-7]
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned... Therefore, as through one man's offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man's righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man's obedience many will be made righteous." [Rom.5:12 & 18-19]~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Indeed, I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may arrive at the resurrection of the dead." [Phil.3:8-11]
"Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you. Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind." [Phil.3:12-16]
It is said that imperial sorcerers of the Western Han Dynasty attended the birth of Jesus in the year 32 BC. The study of astrology had led them to Bethlehem in search of a baby, born king of the Jews. (A study of The Great Unique, the first poem among The Nine Songs supports this idea). Likewise, it is written in the Holy Bible that late in the Western Han Dynasty "magi" came from "the East" bringing tribute of gold, oil of myrrh and frankincense. Today we come with gifts of love, faith and hope instead, and He is born inside of us. We wish a happy birth inside of you today as well. So we say, Merry Christmas!
===================== #2 ======================
Do you think that the Japanese of today are the same people as the arrogant, treacherous, cruel beasts of the Nippon Empire in the 1930's? Can you imagine that the hard headed Germans of today are the same people as the proud pig-headed inhuman Nazi tyrants of the Third Reich in the 1930's? And, when God looks at you and I right now, do you think He sees any difference from our forefather, Adam of Eden, who disobeyed His command and followed his wife in rebellion? But, do you think He still loves us, and that His Son would embrace all of us into Himself when He died on the cross? If you can believe we all inherited a sinful nature from Adam, can you also believe God loved us enough to become the Second Adam and die for us, giving us His own nature? This is a mystery. Christ in us, the hope of glory... vicarious punishment and transcendental righteousness. If you can believe this, THAT is the work we must do to be transformed. Just believe. If we can believe, we will rest in peace. That is what we call the sabbath. Can you enter the sabbath? ...Welcome!
