Beit Hayeshua(House of Salvation) ÀÇ Vision (¸¶¾à ¹× ¾ËÄÚ¿Ã Áßµ¶ÀÚ Ä¡·á¼¾Å¸)
Today, we are seeing the literal fulfillment of bible prophesy as the God of Israel is bringing back to the land of Israel countless thousands of Jews who had been dispersed among the nations. Moreover, we have seen the land literally transformed, as the prophet Ezekiel spoke: "They will say, This land that was laid waste has become like the garden of Eden." (Ezek. 36:35).
However, many who have come back to the land of their fathers are experiencing great difficulties. Today the social problems in Israel are tremendous. There has been an increase in the breakdown of the family unit. Economic pressures have created a huge gap between rich and poor. The security problems of the nation have further exacerbated the situation. Many people have become disillusioned, lost hope, and are seeking means of escape.
Among young people, drug use has soared, with an accompanying fascination with New Age cults and occult practices. We now discover, in these days of the Restoration of Israel, an enormous problem with drug and alcohol addiction among both native-born ("Sabra") Israelis, as well as among immigrants, especially those who originated from the former Soviet Union.
It is estimated that there are today in Israel well over 20,000 hard core drug addicts and many more alcoholics. Drug and alcohol addiction is literally a matter of life and death for the men and women caught up in their deadly snare! Government funds are drying up and state run rehab centers are closing as Israel is entering yet another year of deep recession. The only answer for these men and women is Yeshua the Messiah; His love and His power.
The apostle Paul said: ""I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Messiah for my brethren, my kinsman according to the flesh." (Romans 9:2-3). There is no greater burden in the heart of the Lord than to see salvation come to the house of Israel. There has been great growth in the Kingdom of God the last 25 years in Israel, but the greatest move of God is yet to come ("...and so all Israel shall be saved"). We are called to be a part of this work.
To this end, Beit Hayeshua (House of Salvation), was established as a non-profit organization in July, 2003. Its purpose is to pioneer a drug/alcohol rehab center in the Jerusalem area. This work is far greater than any one congregation. Therefore, we are closely cooperating with another Messianic rehab center in Haifa, as well as with pastors and spiritual leaders in Jerusalem.
Zvi Randelman: Founder and General Manager
Zvi and Yaffa Randelman have lived in Israel since the mid 1970's. Zvi had a dramatic encounter with Yeshua the Messiah in 1971 which totally and permanently changed his life. Yaffa came to faith in her Messiah in 1976 in Israel. Since then, they have both been active in the Messianic movement in Israel. For the 15 years, Zvi functioned as founder and senior pastor of Succat David Assembly - a Hebrew speaking Messianic Congregation located in the heart of Jerusalem. Today Zvi, along with others, are pioneering a new Messianic congregation in Jerusalem called "Yeshuat Yisrael" (Salvation of Israel) with a vision of reaching the lost sheep of the House of Israel with the good news of Yeshua the Messiah.
Yeshua still has the power to transform lives!
"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord¡¦" (Isaiah 61:1-2)
The Lord God of Israel is bringing the Jewish people back home as He promised in Ezekiel 3624-27, where the Lord also promises to take out from us the heart of stone and give us a heart of flesh. God also speaks of a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit on Israelis as He promises; "And I will put My Spirit in You". We are witnessing the first fruits of this move of God now.
Beit Hayeshua is continuing to labor among the most desperate of men, drug addicts and alcoholics. We continue to see the unlimited love of God move on these men's lives.
Some News
We have received three new men into the program. One is Alex, who is about 29 years old. He has been a heroin addicts for about 8 years. One of our outreach teams found him in Tel Aviv near the old central bus station, which is an area rife with drug addicts/dealers, alcoholics, and prostitutes. He begged to be let into the program and we agreed to take him back with the team to Jerusalem. He has now been in the program for 3 months and it is amazing to see the changes in his life. He has real purpose and hope now through his new relationship with the Messiah of Israel.
Another to come into the program is Anton. Anton is 23 years old. He comes from a family where the father was an ultra-orthodox Jew, but at the age of about 35 had a revelation that Yeshua is the Messiah. Anton thus grew in an ultra-orthodox Jewish home until he was about 8. However, when Anton turned 15 he began to use hard drugs, first by sniffing heroin, and later by injection. He came to us through a referral about a month ago, and has already repented and found new life in Yeshua. He is full of joy, reads his Bible all the time and is pressing on in the knowledge of the Lord.
A third man, Denis, came into the program about two weeks ago. He is gradually changing as he begins to read God's word and learn of His ways. Pray for him, as he is not yet very stable. We want him to succeed!
Two of the men who previously came into the program in January: Vitaly and Alexei, are both doing well. Soon they will move on to the next stage: where they will move to another facility on our compound and look for work. Roni (our oldest in the program) is also almost ready to move to stage 2 and is currently looking for employment. Please pray for all of these men, especially as they begin to work. The adjustment is never easy and they need a greater supply of God's grace.
On the other hand, there have been a few men who have left the program. One is Sasha, who left us after two months. He was a young man with a lot of promise. He had received Yeshua into his life, but has chosen to leave Beit Hayeshua and return to his old life. However, the Lord is not finished with them yet. We continue to pray fervently for full repentance and return to the program.
Other News: Beit Hayeshua has received notice that we will have to leave our present facilities the end of August. Pray that we may find the right place. Also, there is a pressing need for more finances as we are faced with many expenses before and during the move. Please pray for us and also support this work financially if you can. Tere is much fruit and there is nothing like seeing the grace of God change these men's lives so dramatically and radically.
1) Prayer for the men:
a) Pray for spiritual breakthroughs in the men in the program: Locha, Alexei, Anton, Dennis, Vitaly, Ivan, Roni, Vova, and second Dennis.
b) Pray for those who have finished the program: that they stay close to the Lord and full of the Holy Spirit. Pray for humble faithful hearts and protection from temptation.
c) Pray especially again for finances as our finances have gotten low again. We very much need a new van, as our old one is always having problems.
d) Pray that we might find a new location for our facilities since we have to move out by the end of August.
2) Spiritual protection upon Pastor Zvi and his family, as well as the others on the team: Yvgeni, Roni, and and their families, as well as Dennis and Oleg.
3) Pray for the new congregation, "Yeshuat Yisrael", which is a community of believers which about one third of its members are ex-drug addicts.
